Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Effective: 15 August 2026Last updated: 15 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Zintho (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you use the Zintho platform, how we use and protect it, and the rights and choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information

Your email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and verification status.

Profile information

Your name, username, role, photo, location, weekly availability, skills, interests, headline and about text — provided during onboarding and editable later.

Collaboration content

Ideas, projects, interests, discussions, workspace tasks, milestones, notes and messages you create.

Usage information

How you interact with Zintho — pages visited, features used, and technical data such as device, browser and approximate region.

How we use your information

  • Operate Zintho: accounts, discovery, matching, discussions, trials and workspaces.
  • Show relevant opportunities — your skills and interests shape what For You surfaces.
  • Display lightweight trust signals, such as approximate response time and response rate.
  • Keep Zintho safe: prevent abuse, review reports and enforce our guidelines.
  • Communicate with you about your account and activity.
  • Understand usage so we can improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information.

What other builders can see

Your profile — name, username, role, photo, location, availability, skills, interests, headline and about — is visible to other builders; that visibility is how collaboration starts.

Interest requests are visible to their recipient. Discussions are visible to their participants. Workspace discussion and private notes are visible only to that project's collaborators.

Your email address is never shown to other builders.

Sessions and security

Zintho keeps your session with a short-lived access credential held only in memory and a refresh credential stored in a secure, HttpOnly cookie that scripts cannot read. We never store session tokens in browser storage.

Security-sensitive responses are intentionally generic — for example, password-reset requests never reveal whether an account exists.

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Access to production data is restricted and logged.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies for essential session handling and, with your choices respected, for preferences, analytics and marketing. The Cookie Policy lists the cookies we use, their purposes and durations, and how to control them.

When we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Zintho (such as hosting, email delivery and analytics) under contractual protections, when required by law, or to protect Zintho and its builders from fraud or abuse.

How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal information within a reasonable period, retaining only what the law requires (such as billing records) or what is needed to resolve disputes and enforce our terms.

Content you contributed to shared spaces — team discussions or project notes — may remain visible to those collaborators, attributed as from a former collaborator.

Your rights and choices

  • Access and update your profile information at any time from Settings.
  • Request a copy of your personal information.
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
  • Control non-essential cookies through your browser or cookie settings.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law provides.

To exercise these rights, contact us through Contact & Grievance from your registered email.

Children

Zintho is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child is using Zintho, please report it and we will act promptly.

Where your information is processed

Zintho is operated from India. Our service providers may process information in other countries; where they do, we require protections consistent with this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Zintho evolves. For material changes we will notify you before they take effect, and this page always shows the current version and its dates.
